At Orphan Love Foundation (OLF), we are committed to ensuring that every donation entrusted to us is used responsibly, transparently, and in full alignment with Islamic values. This policy explains how Sadaqah contributions may be utilized to support both charitable programs and essential operational needs.
1. Purpose of the Policy
This policy defines the principles and limits governing the use of Sadaqah funds for operational expenses in order to maintain ethical, transparent, and Islamically acceptable practices.
2. Islamic Guiding Principles
2.1 Niyyah (Intention)
All Sadaqah funds must be utilized solely for the sake of Allah (SWT) to benefit those in need and support charitable activities that create meaningful impact.
2.2 Maslahah (Public Benefit)
Islam permits Sadaqah to be used for initiatives that provide clear community benefit. Necessary operational work that enables charitable services falls under this category.
2.3 Amanah (Trust & Accountability)
OLF treats donor funds as a sacred trust. All spending must be transparent, justified, and aligned with the mission of serving orphans, widows, and families in need.
3. Permissible Use of Sadaqah Funds
Sadaqah funds may be used for reasonable and necessary costs directly connected to charitable service delivery, including:

Office rent & utilities

Communication & outreach

Monitoring & reporting

Technology & software

Audit & governance costs
4. Non-Permissible Uses
- Personal benefits unrelated to charitable work
- Interest-based (riba) payments
- Luxury or excessive spending
- Activities outside OLF’s mission
5. Spending Structure & Limits
OLF maintains a reasonable operational expense ratio, generally between 15%–25%, depending on project type and emergency conditions.
Donors may choose between: General Sadaqah Fund (flexible use) or Restricted Sadaqah Fund (program-only).
